I was a bit worried buying this stone unseen with no return policy, but the price is good and it is not a major purchase anyway, so I think well let's risk it and see. I received the stone just now, and I took out my idealscope & aset scope, well the stone looks like a PERFORMER to me!! Here goes the stats:

GIA 1169424806
0.38ct
4.65-4.58mm
F
VS2 - feather
TD: 61.4%
TS: 56%
CA: 34.5
PA: 40.8
SL:50%
LH: 80%

HCA 1.2 EX-EX-EX-vg

And a lousy IS image i managed with my phone, so what do you think? Is this considered good light return judging from the IS?

And I have a bigger questions, as I'm planning to purchase a major stone in the near future (10k budget). If I buy from the same source, i get good price, but again i have to buy blindly and no return.

So if i stick with these stats, 60~61.5%/56/34-34.5/40.8, can I possibly go wrong?

What do you mean by "wrong"?
Better question: what, to you, is a "beautiful" diamond?

hi Yssie, thanks for your reply!! So I put this diamond along side with 0.31ct BGD signiture stone (I guess that can be considered "beautiful"), and I see no visual difference in terms of brilliance or fire. If there were any difference in cutting pattern, it might be not obvious to my eyes as the size of the stones are small.

I read the other thread you quote, and this one horrors me:

GIA EX, HCA 1.2

The original link is already invalid, but yes, something is wrong with this diamond to my eyes even it scores well on HCA. Why is the "hole" under the table particularly large? Is there any parameter on GIA report that could reflect that?
