Boston or NY appraiser

My finance and I are looking for a very highly regarded appraiser. We live in the Boston area but would be able to travel NY. We think Marty Haske would be an excellent choice, however, he is hard to get a hold of. Does anyone one have an recommendations? Not to sound snobby (I promise we aren''t), but if we are paying the money for an appraiser we really want the best of the best.

Personally, Richard Sherwood. Not that I've used him, but if I had cause to in the future, it'd be him.

Kind of sounds like you want to know every single detail of your stone, or have it appraised by someone not only well regarded, but well known. Celebrity appraisers, reality show!

Yes...we want to be blown away pretty much, in the sense that the person really know his or her stuff!
