Boston cream pie - is it yummy?

Sponge is light; pound is heavy and thick. Sponge has air in it; pound has no room for air.

That's what I think too but I always see people cream butter and sugar on TV and say they are making a "sponge"

yes! The eclair has to be filled with custard/pudding. NOT whipped cream. I love eclairs but have them once in a blue moon. If they are filled with whipped cream I am severely disappointed!

Its taken me forever to be a convert to the choclate eclair
I can't imangine one with custard - id have to try it
But i don't think id buy one of it had custard in it - and i love custard
it would have to be a homemade one right out of that person's fridge
After getting sick once im very particular where i eat custard

It's absolutely delish!!! You guys know your desserts! I'm a huge fan of all the desserts I've eaten since watching the Food Network and ATK: pecan pie, peach cobbler, lemon meringue pie and now this Boston cream pie!!! You guys have the best desserts!

My ganache was a bit too thick I think. Need to thin it down next time and apply a thinner layer. But I absolutely adore this cake! What a wonderful concept!!!!

folks that can't cook.

some people will stick a marshmallow on anything. its a sin I tell you. Its acceptable on sweet potato pone (never the pie) but then again not everyone can make that either.
