by Anna M. Miller, GG, MGA, RMV. - Antiques, Period & Modern. This beautifully illustrated, complete guide to accurate jewelry identification and appraisal provides step-by-step instruction to jewelry identification and dating, reviews the role and responsibilities of the appraiser and describes in detail virtually every style of antique and period jewelry, from Georgian and Victorian to modern, "retro" and ethnic jewelery art.
Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of this book? I was thinking of getting into gemmology and had ordered this book from the Canadian Gemmological Association''s website. The lady on the phone says it''s THE book for identification and appraisal (I ordered it months ago and they kinda messed it up - now they finally have them in and FOUND my order but I''m not sure I''m going to take the course now. It''s like, 75 bucks so if it''s a crappy book I''d rather cancel it.)
