Wedding BM dress help for a friend

A good friend of mine is in a wedding in September. She''s going to be about 7 months pregnant at that point. The bride knows this and just picked out this dress for her wedding party:

...definitely not pregnant body friendly with that cinched waist! So, I''m hoping that you guys can help me find something that will work better for my friend so that she can go back to the bride with some possible alternatives instead of just saying she doesn''t think that dress will work and unnecessarily stressing the bride out. I''m sure she''ll wear the dress if the bride insists, but I''ve met the bride before and she seems like a really nice reasonable person, so I think if she''s given a good alternative she''ll be ok with my friend in a different but similar dress.

I suggested that she might be able to get the dress big and alter it so that it was an empire waist, but she said she''s worried that she''ll look like "a 2-year-old or a cloud." Not sure where the cloud came from, but that''s ok.

I told her I''d ask on here since you guys are awesome at this kind of stuff.

Yup, and I should probably add that she probably doesn''t want to spend much over $100, but the cheaper the better.

That''s what I found in the same color...not a lot of yellow maternity wear out there...is there a possibility of getting the bm dresses in a different color?

This is right at the price limit but otherwise perfect. Plus, the fabric will be a lot more forgiving than something really shiny.

Siri dresses are definitely over $100 unfortunately. What if they all did different dresses in one color. Target has some special occasion maternity dresses, not in the gold color though. What about black dresses with a gold sash?

Siri''s can be quite expensive. A silk knee length dress that my mom loved with well over $300 - we didn''t price any taffeta dresses, but it''s my understanding that they run over $200. It all depends on the fabric that you choose!

This is the dress my bridesmaids will be wearing:

It will be in watermelon shantung silk with a magenta sash.

The dress is going to cost $300. Most of the dresses are close to that price. I think the Harvard that you posted above is close to 300 as well (the third link). That's the one we were going to size down for the jr bridesmaid but the cost was way too much for a ten year old girl.

In terms of maternity the Natasha and Francesa are both lovely options. The Francesca has TONS of room for being pregnant. One of my bridesmaids is going to try to get pregnant about two months before the wedding, which won't matter that much but I said heck who cares plenty of fabric to fit you and you can re-wear the dress later for parties when you're pregnant, heh. I love the pockets those two dresses have as well. Super cute. Siri headquarters is here in SF, ie the warehouse where they make them. It's great. We're also buying fabric from them to make ties for the guys.
