Blue Sapphire?

Greetings,

Hope all is well with you! Can you help me to identify this blue stone. Upon my examination, it appears to be a natural sapphire but I'm not completely sure. I'll continue to conduct more research in order to gain a definite conclusion. Thank you in advance for your help!

Balu,
before you get frustrated (like me when one of my first posts went ignored), I have read in other threads that even the old masters like Chrono, TL etc. cannot ID a gem only by a photo. They probably need much more data, or you need a lab report from GIA or AGL or such. If your gem is a truly sapphire, the color is great and the costs of a report are definitely justified.

I would get it checked out by a professional since it looks like a flame fusion synthetic sapphire.
