Blue Nile Ring Sizer?

I got one of those plastic ring sizer from BN. I tried various sizes and somehow I managed to fit my finger in the size 6 without much effort! It was stuck on tight and took about 2-5 seconds of tugging to remove. I was wondering if the BN sizer underestimates ring size? I saw for some the plastic would overestimate and people often ordered 0.5 size smaller.

According to the definition of ring sizes, I measured my ring with a measuring tape and should be a size 9 or 9.5 (circumference of my finger was 6.1 cm)

Can you visit a local jeweler or even a Mall jewelry store to get sized? The plastic sizers are not very accurate IMO. Size also depends on the width of the ring. Size is usually smaller for rings with thin shanks and slightly larger for thicker rings in order to fit comfortably.

Ill probably give up on the plastic sizer for now and just look at actual rings when I get the chance
