Yes, it is 18k rose gold. I first chose rose gold for my mint garnet ring after seeing yours in rose gold, and I really like how it turned out. The rose gold just complements the mint color and blue-green color so well.

Glad you created a thread for this beauty. Amazing ring!

Beautiful ring and gorgeous color! Love your choice of rose gold!

What size did you choose for the halo melee? The proportions came out really pretty. It looks great on you.

Me every time I see this ring...

Man, oh man, do I love this ring. It’s the perfect blue green color and it looks freaking fantastic in rose gold.

I’ll second @MissyBeaucoup for info on the diamond melee. They look gloriously chunky. :kiss2:

Beautiful! I love the photography too.

I feel the need to go to a tropical beach after seeing this beautiful ring. It’s so happy and soothing. Beautiful!!!

So glad you made a thread!!! Lovely :)

That’s great!! I love the color of the alloy, it’s a subtle rose gold. It compliments the stone beautifully, although it’s one of those gems that would look fabulous no matter the color of the metal. Those diamonds are sumptuous too. It’s such a perfect ring, cut, color, setting!! Enjoy!!!

:kiss2:Absolutely gorgeous!!!

What a beauty

That color is stunning!

I chose 2mm melee. Saw your thread about the melee size, here is how I made my decision:

It helped me narrow down to 1.8mm ~ 2.2mm. The golden ratio (1.618 ) also suggested 2mm ((6.6/2)/1.618=2.0396). So 2mm became my choice. Now you can tell I am an engineer ;)2.

Hi, Atwater! :read: Thank you for referencing the golden ratio. Where beauty, science, and nature all meet....Love it!

What's the logic of comparing the radius of your center stone to the diameter of the melee? If you hadn't divided the 6.6 by 2 first, the golden ratio would be suggesting 4mm instead.

My intuition is that since there are melees on both sides, I should use the radius for each side. Now I think of it, my intuition may come from my preference of having the center stone dominant in size. Another person may not have that preference and use the diameter instead.

One usually adjusts or corrects intuitions based on results. If I am choosing the size of side stones for a three-stone ring, I may quickly switch to use the diameter instead.

Beautiful stone and ring, congrats!!!

Your ring is positively divine, the combo of that gorgeous tourmaline and the 18K RG was a great choice. I'm sure that your engineering background was very helpful in solving the design issues! Hope that you enjoy it for a long time to come :-)

What CS rings do you have, @Atwater? Any chance we could get you to post a family thread? :rolleyes2:

Delicious ring.:kiss2: Chunkalicous and Blue-greenlicious.
