After having seen so many beautiful rings with pave settings on PS, I''m tempted to have one done. I''ve found this relatively inexpensive treated blue-coloured pear-shaped diamond and was thinking of maybe buying it and have it made into a RHR or a pendant. I was wondering if any of you have used this vendor before, what you think of them, and also what you think of this diamond. In particular, I am wondering abt the colour: I don''t mind that it is treated (after all, it is not expensive) but wonder if the colour will fade over time?

All input and comments are welcome.

I am wondering also if this is really a diamond or can it be synthetic? The price seems too good to be true, even if it is treated.

You know what they say, if it''s too good to be true... I wanted to see a close up shot of the stone, but clicked on the view larger pic, and it was barely bigger than the pic they have. I''d pass if I were you Lien.

It''s an irradiated stone, which is relatively inexpensive, with stable color enhancement.

The "SI2/SI3" designation gives you a heads up that it is quite possibly not as clean looking as the photo suggests. The color might not be as good as photographed either.

But it doesn''t appear to be a synthetic, or a rip-off. Just an inexpensive irradiated fancy. Usually these blues have a little more green in them than the photo suggests.

It wouldn''t hurt to check it out if the company has a good return policy if you don''t care for it.

I think this would make a fine pendant - even included... I think that the somewhat tealish hue of treated blue diamonds in a pear shape would make a gorgeous teardrop, or water drop. You could even let it symbolize the crying of the world''s oceans LOL Okay so that''s what *I* would do... haha! omg even the inclusions could be what humans have done to the earth... wait, can I have this? hehe

My DH just bought me a white/blue diamond band, I love it. In certain light it looks a little darker than blue topaz and in others like aquamarine. And when I take pictures of it it''s a green blue. All you have to lose is shipping if you don''t love it. (Although, I''m not sure what that costs) I tried to do a search on the company and I can''t find any kind of reviews on them.

Okay, so I didn''t give you any useful info. BUT if you like it alot......just get it

Lien-

I think that stone is very pretty "IF" it looks like the picture. Sorry to thread-jack, but my mom''s actually looking for an irradiated blue, too. If this company doesn''t pan out, does anyone know another good place to look??

Cehra-love the symbolic interpretation!
