This is what i wrote the ceo. He responded with oh sorry. Yeah thanks.

Hi

I feel you meed to know of a significant issue going on within your organization. I am a Canadian customer but i ship to the US. I have made many orders online until the last few times where there have been huge issues. My credit card started getting denied. I called my cc company and they said it was approved on their end. I went through a out 15 people at bloomingdales. Nobody could figure it out. Of note: i also tried another card and then my sisters. Nothing worked. Eventually someone was able to fix it and it went through. Next order: same thing all over, except this time nobody could help me. I tried my husbands card and it worked, but the kicker here is that your staff put in the incorrect name and it still passed the security check!
I recently tried again and was unable to complete an order. Furthermore, i did it on friends and family day and my cart did show the 20% discount, i just could not use my card. I then called and was told after 20 mins that the item was no longer avail. I checked today and guess what? The item is indeed avail. I called back and was told that the discount is expired (which i knew) but he said he would check with a supervisor....he then came back and said the discount does not apply to marc jacobs. That was a lie as the shopping car clearly reflected that it did indeed apply. I have decided to let anyone and everyone that i can know about this. I will plaster it all over facebook and twitter until someone will listen. I was told that there was nothing anyone can do about it.
How is this possible if you take canadian orders? Amd why do some cards work and not others? Why is there no valid explanation? Why am i getting completely inaccurate info every time i call? Why am i being told i can o purchase? I can assure you my credit cards are all valid and in fact called the cc company while your staff was on conference call.

Furthermore, when i do speak to a so called manager, yvonne something or other, she is terribly rude and condescending. I shop online a LOT and i find this amazing! I find the lack of concern for this absolutely stunning!
Pls address this issue.
I look forward to hearing from you on this matter as you are losing a lot of business due to this.
I still want the handbag....

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I'm not sure what this post is about? Is your whole post what you emailed? Or? Is the bottom part written for PS??

I rarely shop at Macys, and never at Bloomingdales.. but I wouldn't discount the whole chain because of a few individuals, especially if all those individuals are working under ONE management that is flawed.

I just forgo all the trouble, and if I need to buy anything that Nordstrom sells, I shop Nordstrom. I rarely shop there, either way, but their staff bends over backward to help every person, no matter how minor the purchase. I had a bag my aunt gifted me when I was in HS, that I returned for cash back, at my aunt's purchase price… 7 years later! BETTER? The SA checked, and the CURRENT price was around $20, and she asked if I wanted to buy it back for that price. I declined, but it was nice that she offered. I have a million other I<3Nordys stories, but I don't want to talk your ear off.

Sometimes you have to move on, and not shop somewhere anymore, for whatever reason. Sometimes, later, you change your mind. Whatever makes you feel happiest :))

Maybe they didn't understand your email? I found it very hard to understand and had to reread several parts multiple times.

Probably cause i was sooooo frustrated after hours in the phone.
Anyway, they have contacted me back and are trying to make it right.

Sounds like more of an ordeal than it needs to be. So the problem is that they wouldn't give you 20% off a Marc Jacobs bag, and that your cc didn't go through? Um, ok. Take your business somewhere else and stop stressing about it.

Although I also could not understand your letter to the CEO, in the long run, this is more stress than it is worth. Vote with your feet and shop elsewhere.

cheers--Sharon

Glad they are trying to make it right. But I agree that it's not worth the work to get that purchase.

Could I politely request that you try to punctuate more clearly in your posts, and use standard grammar and sentence structure?
I find *all* your posts difficult to understand, and I find it difficult to take you seriously when I can't understand what you're saying - and I suspect I'm not the only one.

Me too. It is always a good idea to wait a sufficient amount of time to calm down before writing a letter, so your points are well-organized and reasonable.

I understand the frustration of missing out on a good deal. I lost out on an airfare special last week that would have potentially saved me well over $1000 because the travel company couldn't get my request processed properly. Their equipment was playing up. Sounds similar to what happened to you. I'm just cooling my heels, waiting for the next sale, which is what you should consider doing as well. These things happen, and are definitely not worth the stress. :))

Try to get out of the phone and walk around for awhile. The phone is very tiny & you are probably cramped up.

Deco, Hahahaha...I just had a laughing fit after reading your comment. LOLOL- I interrupted my dh's beloved Homeland show because I could not stop laughing. Thank you. It always feels good to laugh- really helps release the stress!!

Abby, I hope they make it right for you but I agree with everyone else. Not worth it. As ginger wrote, there will be other sales. Please don't let yourself get so worked up about something like this. As you will find life is full of many challenges and you cannot sweat the small stuff if you are to thrive in life.

Hi guys.....i was writing on my iphone, so very quick and not necessarily correclty written. I just want to point out that it was the fact that my credit card was repeatedly denied for NO reason. They could not explain it. They denied my sisters card as well.
Yssie, feel free to ignore my posts since you find them difficult to follow. I will ensure i get my writing on my iphone checked next time .
I am not tough enough to endure critiscm i guess.....
Ha! Maybe that is why my husband left me....

I understand you wanting to get the whole story out, but I think you are better off just writing "Multiple of my credit cards and my sister's credit card were denied for no reasons" because I don't know that the CEO is spending time to read the story.

Idk, I was able to follow your email just fine.

Sorry for the frustrating experience Abby...you were just venting and sometimes it feels really good to vent. Sometimes we just get upset, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Hope you're feeling better about it now that a little time has passed.

Abby, I think you need to speak directly with the manager, and reiterate your experience directly with him. I would think he could offer you the discount you originally missed, due to credit card processing errors.

Abby,

So sorry for your troubles, that must be very frustrating.

For what it's worth, I understood your e-mail just fine.

Ew, this thread has taken a little bit of a pile on. I think one person asking Abby to please punctuate correctly is enough to get the point across. Damn.

Actually, I think it was one too many. I edited my posts last night, but I was disgusted by the way Abby was called out and belittled. I hope my editing didn't come across as agreeing with what was said to her. And I understood her just fine, as well.

I agree Bloomies is pretty bad on the customer service front. I prefer to get it price matched at Nordstrom's and buy from them!

Anyway, random thought, but if this was MARC JACOBS, not MARC by MARC JACOBS, the person was right and it most def. was not included in FandF. Their super high end brands are never included in those sales.

Just a thought that maybe they weren't trying to screw with you on that note. But disregard if the bag you were trying to buy was MARC by MARC JACOBS.

Hope you have a better experience next time!

Hi Abby12,

I was wondering if you get your issue resolved with Macy's?

I get the same situation right now and nobody can help me.

I would really appreciate your help in this matter.

Thank you

This thread is 2 1/2 years old. I may be mistaken but I do not think Abby has posted in quite a while.

She might lurk often easier on this site

I ordered my wedding dress from Bloomingdales. Had some drama. Definitely not a Canadian-friendly shopping experience.

Obviously Gamini2 is new to Pricescope. Perhaps she doesn't know how it works as of yet and she is getting her feet wet, trying to figure it out. I say let's give her a break. I remember (just a few months ago) when I was new to the site, I wasn't sure how it worked and made some very stupid mistakes and yes, took heat from some of the veterans. I don't want anyone else to feel bad about it as I did.

Welcome to Pricescope Gamini2 and hope you find the site useful. :wavey:

Good idea, Queenie.

Ok, shopper, what is your issue and how can we help?

As someone already mentioned above, this thread is over 2 years old....

I understood your email perfectly.

Particularly as I live in Arizona and had the same experience. I burned way too much time on their site with nothing to show for it. My take on it is they are in the IT stone age.
