its definitely not to my taste. it even kinda scares me a little :errrr: ...like one of those pods that aliens lay eggs in in the movies (sorry for that awful description)

Looks like a monster head from one of those goofy B&W 1960s TV shows like, "Outer Limits".

If you love it, get it.

IMHO It may be okay depending on how you wanted to wear it, clothing, etc.

But I probably wouldn't choose it, although I love the cool shape of the ring. :?

I promise I want YOU to have it...so I will restrain myself from bidding...just for you, deco!!!

I. Don't. Like. Your. TONE. Missy.

:naughty: :rodent:

Okay okay -- it sucks. I blame myself for getting caught up in the "name" and potential steal aspects w/little to no regard for aesthetics.

it happens. luckily u've got the gals on PS to look after u :wink2:

I mean this in the nicest possible way...I'm really glad that you came to your senses!

It's unique for sure. And possibly a great fashion piece. It's not a piece that will stay in style long and doesn't have the classic look that mean you can pass it on if you change your mind about it.

I like it a lot actually. I like the stones, I like how they're set, it looks well-made... but it's just not wearable. Not even out to dinner. If you closed your fist you would have a claw.

It reminds me of how pomegranate seeds are packed in the fruit! Or a honeycomb... or one HE## of a knuckle buster for fighting!

SOLD $1,426.99! Ha. It was like $200 when I spied it a few days ago. Much more tempting at that price. Thanks for the Sense-talking.

:wavey:

Glad you decided to pass.

I actually have seen some antique rings made similar to that recently, but I think they were a little more practical in size.

I didn't see this earlier but would have directed you to my tag...very glad you passed ;))

I'm glad you passed as well, as that ring doesn't look like it's from Irene Neuwirth's fairly new diamond collection.
(ps-there's a lot of that stuff floating around ebay-with random designer names attached)

Hubba, hubba! Now, this I would snap up: http://www.barneys.com/Rose-Cut-Pave-Diamond-Ring/00505012963232,default,pd.html?cgid=JEWEL01

If I, you know, had 50K to blow on a fun fashion piece.

::cough::

I knew it didn't look much like her recent work ... figured, if authentic, it must be an early or student version of her work. However, on Ylang the other day I saw SO MANY designers going this "rustic" direction. Cathy Waterman .... lots of folks

And I do kinda want a large cocktail ring for play times. What I've learned about myself is I CANNOT STAND rings on my right hand all day long. Just NOT a RHR girl.

It's funny -- I kinda love that fugly ring. For $200, maybe even $500 ... I coulda dealt w/the risk that it would look grody in person or not test real or be actually made of gum wrappers and rock candy. But anything more: no dice.

I have to post my fave of her rings right now ... lemmie find it!

ETA: I FRIGGIN LOVE THIS RING http://www.ylang23.com/shop_prodDetail.cfm?ShopBy=Designers&DesignerID=99&CurrentPage=2&ItemID=29297

Yah, I agree deco, it's more in the CW direction than IN.

I cannot stand rings on my right hand at all, save a plain band. I feel ya.

In any case there's a lot of it out there if you want an inexpensive fun piece! Do you Gilt? I've seen some great costume (made with real materials costume) over there-and some very similar to the big dude you posted.

ETA: Love that labradorite ring!!

I am so (radiant) years ago: :saint:

That said, I would not put ER and bling or jewellery in the same sentence. But I already prefaced my response. :cheeky: And after a glass or two................can I beg: is this is a rhetorical question?

OK, no. all good.

I don't even *like* colored stones generally ... but this crazy stone makes me tingle in my, uh, extremities.
