So one of my favorite estate stores has a Black Friday Sale every year. Last night, I picked up this marquise ring. I’ve always liked the elongated look of the marquise and lately the horizontal. I never really considered a diagnol look. Lol. But it’s kind of growing on me. Anyhow, what do you all think? I didn’t spend too much on this ring and I realize the diamond itself isn’t spectacular, so I’d rather not spend too much on resetting if the stone doesn’t merit it. Right now, I can’t really tell yet.
I love that setting! Its unique and plays up the beauty of the marquise. Its a great idea too as my aunt is looking to re-think her marquise soli. So, thanks for that!
I like the current setting! You might not get much finger coverage if you set it vertically, unless you do a halo - and it kind of looks almost horizontal now. I think this setting is very flattering to the shape of the stone. It’s really pretty nala, what a great find!
Love it! So unique. I think the setting really shows the stone with it’s wonderful shape. I’ve never seen a ring quite like that one before. Such a great find!
I'm in the "love it, leave it in its current setting" group. I think your ring is beautiful, it really is! It is so unique and it is so bright! The setting is lovely and it looks perfect on your finger/hand! I love the ring as is.
Thanks to all for your input! I'm going to take your advice and leave it be. I tend to get caught up in resets and like the thrill of it, but I think you are all right when it comes to this one. Thanks again!
