It''s my birthday today!

SO let me sleep in a little bit because I am working closer to home today.

He then gave me my presents- SATC DVD, Calamity Jane DVD (I love that movie) and a cute tea set.

Tonight we will be going out to dinner at this awesome coffee shop that has the best desserts.

Oh, and we have a tradition that we make the other person a ''novelty cake'' each year for their birthday. He made me a ladybug cake.

Tomorrow night we will be having dinner with my parents, my sister and hopefully my nephew.

I am not expecting a proposal at all today though.

But should be a good day nonetheless!

Very cute about the novelty cakes, by the way.
I am NOT a baker - but I can fully appreciate his effort. (I once thought that cupcake mixes were different from REGULAR cake mixes...until I saw my roommate bake them one day..I was floored!)
Anyhoo - I baked an xbox shaped controller cake for my BF this year (for his 32nd bday....yes, you heard me, he is 32 and still xboxes in his underwear).
So anyway, I am impressed that he made you a ladybug! Aww..so cute.

Grrr.. my post got eaten.

But, what I did say was thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes!

Dinner last night was good, except for having a group of youngish, very loud girls being placed next to us, one of whom was planning a wedding, so I as a LIW on my birthday, had to listen to someone gushing about their upcoming wedding. Boo. But, we had an awesome chocolate mousse, the couch was really cuddly and it was romantic and fun!

i_heart_cushions- An Xbox controller cake sounds awesome! I might have to steal that idea for SO''s birthday next year. He is turning 29, and he loooves his Xbox, so I totally understand big boys and their toys!
