I love this show.... anyone else watching???

I am!!!

I met one of the contestant a few years ago, so I already know who I am cheering for!

Me! I love this show.

I was sooo happy to see Dan back, and I am praying for him that week 2 he can at least lose 1 # and be in the 200''s... and I started to cry last night listening to the one contestant tell the story of how she lost her family in one fell swoop... I think she is a strong and beautiful woman - and I am championing her!

I really like the cast this season, and liked how they didn''t bring a friend with them... kinda like they used to do in the beginning. i''m just so excited and cannot wait to tune in next tuesday!

This show always turns me into a blubbering fool and this season was no different. Abby's story was heartbreaking.

ETA: woohoo for Dan being back and for two of the contestants getting together.

Yeah, apparently the show has already finished taping and all the contestants are home. She and her crush hooked up and are dating. I won't say who in case it spoils it for anyone but you can google to find out who it is if you're interested.

I love this show! We just started watching it last season, my sister got us hooked.
Abby's story was so heart wrenching. I was crying my eyes out.

I hope they all lose a lot of weight and get extremely healthy, inside and out.

My roomie''s friend Neil was on a couple seasons ago with his wife :) That was definitely fun to check out, I love this show! Fi has even started running in the morning because of it :)

Yep! Love it! I love how you have this group of people that want to improve themselves and are willing to work HARD for it! Good for them! Truly inspirational.

dang, I tried to google it... but I guess I am not a good googler - because the first link I clicked on told me I got some sort of Trojan virus, and I had to have my hubs medic in to see what I did... so I''ve been hesistant to probe any further.

One thing I find really interesting about the show is that they never mention that the contestants receive deep tissue massages after their workouts... that they rest at least 1 day a week... and that they really don''t break into the nutritional needs of the contestants. I also find it interesting that even though some of the contestants are obviously suffering from overuse injuries - they only bring attention to it, when they get kicked off and can no longer work out due to the injury... for instance Laura last season had a hip stress fracture... and this had most likely started as some sort of tendonitis - that she kept working through until her bone fractured... as those sort of injuries don''t happen overnight. I guess "reality" doesn''t make as good tv as the screaming yelling workouts.

I MISSED IT I CAN"T BELIEVE IT EITHER! I plan to watch, this show was my inspiration for losing weight. Was it GOOD?!?!?!

yeah, it was a good one. I LOVE THE contestants this season. I was really worried about the marine wife... tracy? (she''s on team purple) She was hospitalized after trying to run the first competition... 1 mile. (I bet they''ll make a competition during the show in a few weeks with trying to run another mile.. to show how much you can improve... but we''ll see.) I was surprised by how little direction they got before hand... and it was honestly quite dangerous. The desire is there, but the know-how and stamina is lacking.

The first show is always an interesting one. Full with throwing up. (Which actually novices consume WAAAY too much water during their workouts, and this is why the first show they throw up so much.) There is a girl on there this season, who is paired with DAN, and she is now the heaviest contestant in BL history. Her story is also very sad, and I hope that she can get the confidence in herself to push through her emotional barriers. She ended up quiting - and coming back complete with a new attitude and FIRE in her belly! It was amazing how you can just see that a lot of the "I Can''t"s experienced are really just a mental block. Somethings gotta flip that switch and turn it into an "I CAN!" it was AWESOME!

Thanks for starting this thread tlh! I LOVE Biggest Loser...I've watched since season 5 and I think this might be one of my favorites so far. The cast is great. Last season it took me a few weeks to warm up to them, but eventually I found my favorites. This season, I was also very happy to see Dan back - and to see that he'd accomplished so much (150lbs is amazing!). It also warmed my heart that he felt such a strong connection to Shay. They are going to make a great team.

This bunch seems so full of life, and so ready to make a change. I can't wait to see how they progress this season!

ME TOO! (please excuse my goofy expression - I ran into Dane and Blaine from season 8?, 7? while shopping for fuel for my marathon. CRAZY! and yes, my hubs and I just so happened to have a camera on us... and yes - they happened to be wearing their BL t-shirts!)

Holy $***! That is awesome!

Who were your favorites from last season? I liked Tara (although she did annoy me at times) and thought she worked the hardest - totally thought she was going to take the win. Then Helen, out of nowhere, comes back looking all skeletal! I guess motivation and drive really do get you far when $250k is at stake!

Tara was my favorite too!!! I was surprised that Helen took the weight loss a little too far... but money is a powerful motivator... and I''m sure she''s back to a healthy weight now... but that was surprising, and honestly, she did look scary and unhealthy.

Tara was my favorite last season, too!
I was pretty shocked by Helen''s appearance at the finale, I thought she looked seriously underweight and very ill.

I heart, heart, heart Biggest Loser, but I hate the voting off...they really do play games, even though it seems like the producers of the show don''t highlight that as much as other reality shows. I think this season should be interesting in terms of how the pairs went/were chosen. How good did the first contestant voted off look?? I bet she''ll be a contender for a wild card if they have it this season. Lots of determination. I love it!

TLH, you are adorable!!! How cool is that?!?!

Thanks skippy! It WAS awesome... they were much taller than I had expected them to be. Made me feel like a 3rd grader! HAH!

Elmorton,. I agree she looked PHENOMENAL! I hope they do the wild card thing again too. How cool was it that even though Ali had been voted off... she still came back to win it! It really makes me feel like - even though it is just a game, if you work hard at home (which is much harder than on the ranch w/ all of life''s distractions) you can still come back for a crack at the 250K. The voting off is my least favorite part... but at least when they are voted off - they follow it up with a progress-status report, which always makes me clap... and go whoo hoo! (unless politics comes into play - and they send someone home who hasnt worked through enough of their demons, only to go back home in the same rut they left in... then I get sad, and ANGRY about the game play...)

How awesome was week 2! Amazing that no one went home! How awesome is that!

Anyone watching last night? What did you guys think?

Interesting how the group was ready to stick a pitchfork into Tracy. Yea, she was sneaky (obviously a game player) but I think Jillian was a smidge too harsh on the girl.

I was really sad to see Sean and Antoine leave - but it warmed my heart to see them plead on Shay''s behalf.

And I have to say, they both look great right now! To lose 100+ pounds at home in a few short months is amazing. AND...

Antoine (how cute is he?!) and Alexandra hooked up!

I''m glad Shay and Dan get to stay, but I did like Sean and Antoine. Tracey seems too wrapped up in the game so early on, like Bob said. She needs to just concentrate on losing her own weight, rather than trying to control tactical decision! Yes, of course it is a game, but treating like a life-style change instead of a game show is going to end up with lasting results.

I feel bad for the blond Pink team girl (can''t think of her name and too lazy to look it up!). Poor thing works her butt off and has to be getting so discouraged at only seeing a few pounds on the scale. In the "normal" world, her numbers would be great, but it''s BL not the real world!

I LOVE that Antoine and Alexandra are dating! How awesome is that! I agree their pleas really warmed my heart as that was tremendous self sacrifice.

I personally thought what Tracey did was not cool. She was so afraid that she literally threw everyone under the bus and for no reason. She didn''t even NEED those 2 pounds... or any of the challenge prizes that she won. I think that by taking control of the game, she really put herself in a bad spot. When every other contestant is working as a team, TOGETHER in a unified front to lose the weight, and here is someone only looking out for #1 - it just doesn''t sit well with me.

This season is not about Red VS Blue, Blue VS Red Vs a hidden black, or Blue Vs Black... it is ONE TEAM. Trainers and contestants working TOGETHER to acheive their goals and make themselves whole from the inside out... as a TEAM. Maybe because Tracey was in the hosipital the entire first week - she doesn''t get that.

I agree Jillian was harsh, but sometimes people that do stupid things need to hear the truth - flat out... that what they did was AWFUL- and sure no one is there to make friends, but you ARE there to change your life... and if that means making you a mean and spiteful person for "game play" sake- I''d have to disagree. Sean and Antione understood that, and sacrificed themselves for a complete stranger... and what REALLY bothers me about Tracey was the fact that NOT ONE TIME did she ever apologise (on film) to Coach MO, to ANYONE - she is delusional that she isn''t accountable for her actions, and that her actions ARE hurtful to others. I''m really sad that Coach MO is basically getting sucked down the spiral that is the disliking of Tracey. I hope that she can work through her personal demons - because even though they are strangers - they are all the family she''s got right now - as your true character can be measured on what you do for others when you have nothing to gain from it.

Antione and Sean look AMAZING! I loved when Sean dropped his pants and his two kids were behind them! That just made me a very very happy person! I''m interested to see next week''s show - I wonder what "severe muscle damage" she has that she is forbidden to do any workouts - including swimming! Is the muscle- her heart? They promo''d me a front row seat!

I agree that Tracy is putting herself in a bad spot. She''s definitely going to get kicked off first if she falls under the yellow line. Game play is used more at the end, when it''s do or die. All she''s thinking about right now is winning. She really knows how to pi$$ people off! Rebecca and Amanda looked like they wanted to strangle her!

TLH, I think you called it - she doesn''t feel as much a part of the team because she was out week 1. I think the whole talking of what comes next at the weigh-in is dumb. Because people want alliances but then they don''t hold true to them. Poor Mo, gotta love him. He''s a great partner to have because even though Tracy is making foolish decisions, he''s sticking by her and I respect that.

Can''t wait for next week''s episode!

AMEN! She sure does know how to anger people. I think that when Pink team was asking for her to vote the way they wanted, but wouldn''t promise to keep purple safe- would really make me feel betrayed too. THAT decision was one I completely understood.

I agree with Coach Mo - what is the point beating her over the head over something she foolishly decided on her own... they can''t go back and un-do it. I do respect that- because she IS his partner and he DOES have to work with her... I just wish she would work with him... and ASK him... you want me to jump over the line? should we eat any cupcakes? Those game contolling winnings are never good prizes in the beginning, because well honestly - that kind of power is a double edged sword... and isn''t the kind of bullseye I''d want on my back... esp only in week three!!

LOVE This show! I got hooked last season and my brother & I even had a finale party & a new season party hahaha. It was just the two of us watching the show, but still..

Last night''s epi was CRAZY! Tracey really is bananas (b-a-n-a-n-a-s a la Jillian). She talks so fast and makes crazy expressions - something is definitely going on there mentally. I hope she gets better, but she''s certainly not making any friends or alliances acting the way she is. and that WILL hurt her in the future.

And I semi-agreed with Jillian in that Coach Mo should have said something to Tracey to express the fact that he was not happy with her decision. He can still respect his team mate without supporting her dumb decisions blindly. I think by him not speaking up, he is getting lumped in with Tracey''s crazy and alienating the rest of the team.

I loved when Bob said that people only played the "game" at the end when they were crazy. It made me laugh, but Bob also is such a hypocrite! Last season, he tried to coach his team to pick off Jillian''s best players very early in the season. I am happy to see them training together this year so it''s not a competition between them & it''s really about the contestants as a whole. Although I do find Jillian lets Bob be the "leader" a lot and she seems to have these random outbursts. When she has her own team, she seems really in charge of them. I wonder how that will play out in the end.

I think people are being way too hard on Amanda (pink team - blonde). She''s got a steady 5-6 pounds each week. Who else did that? Umm, HELEN! Last year''s winner did slow & steady and was never seen as a threat. Amanda should realize this for herself. I really like her.

I wish they would show Rudy more (on the blue team). He seems like a super positive dude and I''d rather see him than the brown shirt dude Danny with his eyes always bugging out, hahahah. I loved when Rudy said that BL really taught you to finish what you started. That''s a great lesson for anyone.

I am always amazed at how quickly their physical fitness improves. Amanda doing 8.5 mph sprints on a treadmill after 3 weeks is really impressive to me. I run (semi) regularly and I def. would feel like I was going to fall off the treadmill at 8.5 and would NOT feel comfortable doing that without holding onto the sides.

Sean & Antoine were AMAZING at the end. I CANNOT believe they both lost 100+ pounds. Antoine already looks pretty thin and will look AMAZING at the finale. They are both great guys, and Antoine/Alexandra looked SO CUTE together. Did you see how his face lit up when he talked about her? awwwwww!

Danielle - good point about helen! Slow and steady is a great motto! I agree it does appear that Jillian is letting bob be the leader, but they are working well together... and half of me wonders how much is on the cutting room floor. There is other stuff that goes on that doesn''t make the air- so I do have to wonder WHAT we''re missing.

8.5 on the treadmill is awesome - I''d agree with that!

Anyone see this_clip?? lmao

Have you guys noticed that there has been a lot of swearing on the BL as of late? Almost to the point of abuse LOL!

Me still likes it though
