I have my center stone selected (1.048 Gavin Blue) and I'm working on my setting and side stones. I am getting a 3 stone ring with side .25 pears. I'm either getting this ring:

or this one:

The trellis is more expensive of course. I can go with the trellis (which will be a custom piece also) or I can go with the other ring and put the few hundred ($200-$300) I will be saving into increasing the size of the pears. I don't even know if the amount that I will be able to put into the pears will make them noticeably larger. I've asked for a quote on the trellis ring that includes .3/.35/.4 pears but I don't have it yet.
I love the look of the trellis, but I'm willing to go for the other ring if you think stepping up a size or two for the pears is within my budget and it will make a difference.
What do you think? Trellis and .25 pears or Grace and something slightly larger?
My plan is to eventually move to a 5 stone with the same center and the pears at the ends, but it will be years (kids out of college years and years) before I will be able to do something like that.
Thanks,
Michelle
