Other people answered my question

My only problem is that I tend to hit my hand against the board when I’m teaching so I have to take care of that so the diamond won’t fall out of my band

Just my two cents here but I, like you, love big bold diamond pieces. I wear my diamonds to work as well every day! Of course no where close to the eternity band! Everyone thinks my diamonds are fake. So be it! I am not wearing it for them, I am wearing it for me. It gives me confidence. Some women get their confidence from wearing a risqué bra or thong, I get mine from diamonds. Don’t judge. So I say, get it, wear it everyday, hold your head high, you got this! And, just like you, I am a professor. I also bang my bracelets and rings against the board while I am teaching by accident but isn’t that the point of a diamond? They can withstand stress. I loupe my diamonds from time to time and not a single chip! I would rather wear it and enjoy it then save it for a special occasion. Life is too short! And, just like you, I also have labs. We do dissections, which include cats, sheeps, cows, horse, bulls penis, yes you read that right, a bulls penis, and pigs. Apologies to all the animal lovers out there. Don’t bash me. This is my job but I digress. My only advice to you is, and I am just basing this on my own experience, I used to take my wedding rings off for a dissection and stick them in my lab coat. You can imagine what happened! I forgot all about them by the time I got home! Had to drive back to work to retrieve them. Also, again, from my experience, I stopped wearing diamond earrings before each dissection because, as I would take off the goggles, an earring would fly off and smash into the floor. Luckily they are fine! But my point is, I learned that not all pieces of jewelry are conducive to my everyday work life. But ymmv. Go for it and enjoy it and don’t give a s**t about what others think. There is a very wise old saying: Dogs bark and people walk.

Thank you for your nice words

Yes I want to wear my band to university and I can always take it off when I work in the lab

I will make sure to stop the habit of hitting the board so i don’t harm it

I want everyone to see the sparkle of my 15 carats band !!

As long as it's insured do as you please. Only you can decide if it'll suit your daily life or not. You'll find out soon enough.

Are your diamonds insured??

I’ve tried on this style eternity before and it’s lovely. I actually love it, however, I never tried on the size you are interested in. The one I tried was a couple of carats total weight- don’t remember exact...I can’t imagine going much bigger bc the ring would not be comfortable for ME. I don’t like when eternity bands rub against my other fingers. Or if they push out my other fingers too much and create a gap.

Also, if it’s too big it may look like costume jewelry. Unless you wear substantial other jewelry as well. JMHO.

I will be wearing my engagement ring with it but still we didn’t choose it yet

It’s all sparkling

Under light it looks fabulous

15 carats babyyy!!!!

Ok. So you dont actually want answers to your questions. You just want to brag and then insult people who try to help. Gotcha.

I’m not insulting anyone

I’m just happy about my band

Can I be happy about it??

Absolutely, you can be excited. That is why we are here, we love jewelry.
What you cannot do is be rude and insulting about other peoples beloved pieces. It is a shame, as we would have welcomed you and your bling if you had been gracious on other threads.

I’m looking for advice if we should buy the band or not

My advice is no, don’t buy it.

Step cuts are so very hard to keep clean, and this is so big that it’s going to be one giant smeary mess.

But you do you.

Melanie trump has one and I never see her wear it any more.

I find "newbies" that accomplish 100 posts in a day, on their first day, suspect. Smells like a troll.

I'm sure they are busy during these crazy times:) I know we shouldn't feed the trolls, but this is a really fun one. And I'm bored.

True. It is fun but I don’t like personal attacks. :(

Does this site have mods or just admins? If no mods maybe they should consider.

(I'm still responding as though this were a real thread, because sometimes other people are reading it and considering a similar style ring for their own collection.)

I find the color variation amongst the diamonds to be too wide. They range from D to H. If it were me selecting which diamonds to put in a band, I'd like to see the variation much smaller, perhaps only 2 grades apart, whichever two you wish (for example G/H, or E/F, etc.)

As for the size of the diamonds in a band, its personal choice/taste/comfort. On me that large size would hurt because they'd rub my neighboring fingers raw.

I know this is immature and tacky of me, buy I am LOVING this. And I'm fairly sure that the person behind this is a male. Not a man necessarily, but technically of the male gender.

I'm still here because troll or not....if there is a chance to see what that ring looks like wearing it for real I'll hang around. What else have I got to do under quarantine?? ::)
