Back in February, BGD was having a leap year sale. I was thinking of resetting my ring into a 3-stone and they had a perfect side stone in their inventory, which I promptly snapped up. I soon changed my mind and decided to go with a halo for my reset thinking I'd get a pair of studs once a match for the first stone turns up. I wasn't in a hurry so was happy to wait for a perfect match. It took over 6 months and then last Friday, there it was, brand new to their inventory! I bought it on Sunday and had to quickly decide on the settings. I thought of sending my other stone to them to have set but then figured I should at least check locally. I emailed IDJ and Yekutiel quickly responded suggesting that I stop by. I picked up my new stone and headed straight to IDJ. I'm so glad I went with IDJ! The settings are perfect and I walked out with a new pair of studs in my ears an hour after dropping off my stones! I also saved over $100 by not having the stones shipped to BGD. I picked 4-prong baskets (I hate the way martinis dig into my ears) and asked for claw prongs and the stones set as low as possible. The earrings are just perfect! They sit right on the ear, don't droop in the slightest and are so comfortable I don't feel they are there). They're platinum because I'm sensitive to white gold but still very light. The stones are .464 and .466, both H SI1 both exactly 5mm in diameter (4.99-5.02 and 5.00-5.02), with almost exactly matching set of numbers and scores of 1 and 1.1 on the HCA. They're really perfectly matched and I'm just thrilled to finally have them! And now some pictures, of course! Pleas excuse the lint in some of them.
