BGD Recut Analysis

Here are the after images... kinda concerned... as opposed to playing down defects, the images would appear to show that it has brought them out. Of course, these pictures look like they were taken using a different imaging device. They say they will have shots with the setting shortly.

The computer generated ASET in the grading report looked stunning, what you are getting now is what you would expect with a super ideal cut. The light return in real life will be much much better than before. Yes, with magnification you certainly can see the inclusions in there now, but the cut will help to return more light to your eyes so the extra brilliance and scintillation should more than compensate for that.

Your new setting also is beautiful. A perfect combo to my eyes.

Omg omg omg!!!! Amazeballs :love: it looks sooo beautiful! What a wonderful upgrade:appl: please come back with hand shots :)

Beautiful ring, well done!..:love::appl:

I can't wait to hear your reaction after you see her in person. !!! So exciting. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Oh my goodness what a spectacular re-cut! And I love the setting too!

That diamond is going to sparkle so much that I doubt you'll notice the inclusions!

Ring arrived today. It certainly sparkles... I dont see any of the black shards that i used to see, which must have been poorly cut facets. However, I swear i can see yellowish in certain lights. Still probably looking to replace this one. Its in a safe deposit box now until i decide what to do with the stone

But the difference is extraordinary BGD did an absolutely wonderful job

No pictures!?!:cry:

I'm looking to do a recut with them soon... pictures are needed!

As you can see, the sparkle is amazing. The recut definitely did the job. But as you can also probably see, the pave stones are more colorless.

If your stone is cut poor, but of a color and clarity that you can live with, a recut by BGD will work wonders. They are also great to work with. Excellent experience, and I must thank everyone who urged me to do it!

Cokewithvanilla, the ring(s) look amazing! Pave always shows very white due to the small size of the stones and also because these are super-ideal cut melee as well. You see more of the pin sparkle. The diamond, as it is an I color will show a bit more color especially next to pave, but honestly, it still looks very white! The cut is awesome! I would not keep the ring in a safe deposit box, take it out for a walk, see it in different lightning conditions. I find that usually I see most color in my diamonds when I am inside. The diamond will also reflect the colors surrounding it..

It looks amazing cokewithvanilla! Glad you went through with the process...it turned out beautiful!
