Hi PS’ers
Just thought I’d share the latest Brian Gavin Ring box design. I recently purchased an E ring and was expecting the typical oval timber ring box and white gloves with the purchase that is shown by many others here and on YouTube.
This looks to have changed to a velvet type box that’s a bit different to the norm and no white gloves. It’s a slid out box that in it’s self is very nice but different to what I was expecting
Anyway just thought I’d share as what I received is different to what previous people have posted. Also there’s a few cheeks ring shots of what was in the box.
Oh and thanks to PS members and Tradies for all the info on here, it’s been invaluable
cheers

Nice box and the ring in the feed is pretty amazing as well :appl: :appl:

The ring is beautiful! I like the new ring box too.

Nice box! I am waiting for my E-Ring to be completed and happy to see this new box.

Is that the Legera setting?

What are the specs of the center stone if you dont mind?

I have the same one coming to me but in Rose Gold. RB on Legera Pave and these pics just made it harder of a wait! :)

Nice presentation and the new box design is pretty cool!!

not to mention that lovely little trinket that seemed to be nestled inside of it!!

GORGEOUS ering!!

Nice! The jelly bean pictures are SOOO fun!

+1 the jelly bean shots are great

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Hopefully the girl receiving this in a month while we holiday in Paris will think the same :)

Calibenz, the ring and head is the Novela. I had the prongs pointed as much ad BGD were happy to do as I wanted them to complement the H&A design, which is why I was very specific on theorientatin of the stone versus the prongs. Also as my GF loves pink, I had two small sapphires hidden in the base of the ring where the diamonds finish. Just something different.
The stone specs are:

Face up its absolutely white, but there is color from the side when it's held up and you're looking through the while stone. When on a finger it looks white from the side too.

Your rosé gold will be spectacular.

I was wondering about this - my e-ring also came in this new box, while I was expecting the wooden one.
In all honesty I would have preferred the "old" box, as it's a little sturdier (I was proposed to on vacation, and the first morning that I was about to put on my ring the middle part slid out and the ring fell out - good thing it didn't end up under the bed or in some crack!), but I guess that will give me a good excuse to purchase something nice on Etsy. :)

Cool jelly bean shots! Congratulations and Best Wishes!

Jeff

Nice box and gorgeous ring!!!!

Thanks guys :) The ring is very very nice

The box does look very good in the photos. In real life it's still nice, but appears a bit cheaper than a high quality timber box. I bet it isn't much cheaper for BGD to buy though. Ideally the felt box would be larger and actually contain the old timber box they had. I'm surprised that the high end retailers either don't factor a top end box into the costs or at least offer it as an optional upgrade. Obviously when purchasing something your yourself you won't spend the extra $50 for top end presentation, but for an E ring I'd suggest a lot of guys would splash the cash to get the best possible presentation.
Unfortunately getting a ring box delivered from eBay is somewhat of a giveaway, so hopefully the ring won't fall out like it happened to recordaras!

Funny and true story. We used to use wood boxes. Then we switched to super expensive high end boxes from an Italian manufacturer, very similar to the new BGD boxes, actually. Many people loved the new look, but we did have several ask why they got the "cheap" box and not the "nice wooden box" they had seen in pics. The Italian boxes cost 2-3x what the Made in China (not being cheeky, they are in fact made in China) wood boxes cost, so sometimes a vendor tries to do what they think is more luxurious (and is in fact quite a bit more expensive) and it may not be apparent to consumers.

It's important to note that one reason we dropped the wood boxes was because they didn't stand the test of time. We've had the hinges literally fall apart after a few uses, and even had one client ship us their ring for sizing and they had duct taped their wood box back together. We decided that this was not a good representation of our brand.

High end jewelers generally do spend a considerable amount of money on the packaging, but there's honestly not a whole lot of choice if one wants to have something signature and different from everyone else.

Hi Erica,
Thanks for the insight. The new box design isn't what I would have thought was typical, but I can see the issue if the normal boxes are crap. That said, the display of a product is critical for the buyers first impressions.
Good luck in the quest to outdo the competitors.
Cheers
