My ring is a size 7.25. I love the size of the stone too. It is perfect for me. :D

Your new ring is absolutely exquisite and it is sheer perfection on your hand!!! I have this setting too and I just love the elegance of the prongs and the way it showcases the diamond. Great choice, congratulations!

Another perfect specimen.

Yes, in real life the prongs are tiny and disappear into the sparkle of the stone. I adore how it makes the diamond pop.

I am having a little issue with the setting though and have contacted BGD for a remedy. The head of the setting is twisted counterclockwise a few degrees. I am confident that they will take care of it. It is slight, but noticeable to me.

Other than that, I love the simplicity of the setting! The Tiffany style prongs are yummy! So timeless.

You can see what I am talking about in the pics. However I have every confidence that it will be taken care of.

I sent it back and received it yesterday. It looks the same, still crooked! I called right away and spoke with Anthony, explaining that i was not happy with the repair.
.
Lesley emailed me last night and said the entire head was reworked by the head jeweler. She said that due to the handmade nature of the piece that allowances should be made for slight variances. She said that my expectations need to be in line with what can be done. She requested photos, which i sent.

I emailed her back and said that i understand that it is handmade, but that i expected a symmetrical ring.

Im waiting for her reply to my email with attached photos.

Am i asking too much? Im willing to consider an alternate setting if the six prong tiffany repro cannot be made straight, but ive seen many examples of this setting that look perfectly straight to me.

What should i do? This is frustrating! After waiting a week and a half to get it back, im so disappointed.

.

No, that is not expecting too much. I would not be happy with that at all. I don't know if they need to take it off the shank and rotate it or if it's just that bottom and top prong being off. Either way, I would not be pleased at all and I would not settle.

You are not asking for too much, and I hope you don't settle! It would drive me nuts to have it be off, certainly it can be almost perfect, and symmetrical, especially if it's hand made. I wouldn't think that would be a reason to settle. Even if they have to remake the setting, please be confident that the symmetry should be correct. That's a very reasonable expectation with the quality you are paying for.

Beautiful diamond and a classic and elegant setting. No, you aren't expecting too much to have the head and prongs symmetrical.
