Hello there,

I know little about diamonds! I want to buy an engagement ring, with 20K budget. Is one cut better than the other? Is the difference in cut indistinguishable? Should I then concentrate on returns/customer service etc?

Is it wise to buy a ring, without seeing it in person? That’s my mother’s question!!!

In my view they are equivalently good. Along with Victor canera h&a line and Jann Paul.

Most Pricescopers have bought diamonds/jewelry without seeing it first. Always make sure there is an excellent return
policy before buying. I know you are covered with Whiteflash as they are a Pricescope sponsored Vendor. I'm not
sure of BGs return policy but it is probably about the same.

Both these vendors sell Super Ideal stones. We (PSers) have concluded that one cut is not better than
the other. Both vendors have all the images you need to tell that the stones are excellent cut stones.

Full disclosure,,,I own a stone from each vendor.

My first choice is WF because they are active on Pricescope and I like their customer service. They are happy
to provide additional pictures of stones when asked.

It can also depend on what you are looking for and who has what in stock that best matches your needs.

Great thanks. If I buy a loose diamond and setting on WF, is that considered custom? And thus not eligible for returns?

not if it's a setting that they carry (at least I think). I'd call them, they're super responsive

It was my understanding that the comparable stone quality is the ACA from WF and the Signature Series from BGD. I have bought from both, service was quite acceptable from both. Brian from BGD did call me directly and I thought that was a nice touch.

No, not custom. Certainly, ask/get it in writing (with any vendor) to be sure. The diamond would not be custom unless you
had it cut for you...then I'm not sure in that case. If you go with a standard setting (and dont change anything but size), I dont
believe that would be custom either. It never hurts to ask for clarification though!
