Forgive my ignorance (but at least I know enough to come to you with my questions), is it possible to have stones removed from a bezel setting without damaging the setting beyond reuse?
What I really mean is, can I have a jeweler take the crappy I1's out of my stacking band and replace them with higher quality stones?
I should mention that they're pretty small, around 2.5mm in diameter.

And a related question, could I buy an empty bezel setting and have stones set in it (assuming it's made to the correct size for the stones)?

I know you can do this for prong-settings, I just wasn't sure about bezels.

Thanks!

Honestly, if a client contacted me about doing that, I'd have to have them send in the band for the bench to give their opinion on as my gut instincts would say you're better off scrapping or selling the ring and buying one with the quality stones you want in it rather than risking damage to the setting by punching out the existing stones and trying to find the exact sizes that were in there.
