I’ve had this TB listed, however have been inspired to hang on to it considering the outcome of my potentially insane ideas…

At first I thought DSS was the problem w/ the emerald TB. However, my issue is that the bracelet can look dull when compared to the sparkly round TBs. The rounds are always “talking” and the emeralds just sit quietly waiting for the light to ask them a questions. I appreciate this about emerald cut diamonds, but there is just something that my eye is not loving. So I’ve come up with these ideas/options and need the experts to weigh in:

1. Reset the TB: prong? thinner bezel? Is a thinner bezel setting even possible?? I really do love the look of bezeled emerald cuts

2. I was researching this issue on PS and came across a thread discussing stacking 2 diamond tennis bracelets and the potential of the diamond girdles to scratch metal or the other diamond. I took some pics of my bracelets and I think because they are at 2 different heights they should be ok (pics below). I’ve been wearing the 2 rounds together for awhile w/ no noticeable damage. Also no damage to the Hermes bangles. However maybe I should use the emerald TB as a spacer b/t rounds (see pic)? That bracelet sits below the girdles of the both round TB. Also, I could wear the emerald cut between my watch and bangles/round tb bracelets which is a better fit for the bracelets and the watch. However, will the crown ridding up on the bracelet damage the emerald cuts (see pic)? I don’t wear a watch all that often and usually would move the hermes bangles to right wrist if I do. I just want the option to wear all on left wrist. Do you like these looks with the emerald cut TB?

3. Maybe this is really DSS and I should bump up to .20-.25s??

PS: stacking/layering is still my thing and at this point probably always will be.IMG_7385.jpegIMG_7386.jpegIMG_7387.jpegIMG_7320.jpegIMG_7321.jpegIMG_6649.jpeg

I really like the emerald band as it is and it’s a great compliment to your stacks including stacked between the two rounds.

I wonder if you have tried doing a frequent super clean on it: 1/3 cup boiling water, 3 TBS household ammonia, and a few drops and grease fighting dish soap. Soak 5 mins then scrub with baby toothbrush. Or take to the jeweler for weekly cleans. I suspect the step cuts will be more lively if you do this! Even one day or wear will dampen their sparkle with dust or oils.

EXCELLENT tip @Dreamer_D Thank you!! I typically clean my jewels 1x per week hot water with few drops of dawn let that soak (toothbrush as needed), rinse then soak in hot water until cool. That does a pretty good job but I will add the ammonia, and increase frequency!

The emerald cuts are like tiny mirrors with large surface areas. People have said it is necessary to keep emeralds squeaky clean to keep them at their top performance level.
I do like the emerald cut bracelet between the two round bracelets as long as none of them are being damaged. I don't know that the emerald bracelet needs to be larger - unless it does to your eyes! Your jewelry is very beautiful!!

I completely agree — those emerald cuts really do act like little mirrors, and when they’re clean, they sparkle just right. :kiss2:

:@MissGotRocks and @riceywild Thank you for your comments. I appreciate the advice.

If I’m being totally transparent I completely love wearing my stack of jewels b/c for me they all represent a special moment/accomplishment in my life. What I get self conscious about is the perception it gives to others, esp w/ the way social
media places such an importance on luxury and material items. I know the advice “who cares what others think, you do you etc” but how do you really live that? How do you tell that inner voice to shut up?

Shortly after I posted the response I was playing around with different “stacks” and one of the connectors b/t 2 links broke :( The bracelet had been at the jewelers for repair since. I did try adding the ammonia to the my normal bi-weekly cleaning on my other baubles and I do think it adds more shine to the platinum and keeps the diamonds cleaner longer, yea ☺️

I will post an updated on cleaning the emerald cuts once the bracelet returns!

I think age has a lot to do with your attitude and other’s perception of you. The older I get, the more comfortable I get in my own skin. I wear my jewelry for my own enjoyment, not for others. If someone finds it showy or pretentious, that is honestly on them. The only time I would deviate from that is if I were in a situation that I felt unsafe because of what I was wearing. Jewelry is such a personal thing and everyone has their own taste. Some prefer a more discreet look while others go full on bling. As a jewelry owner and lover, I can appreciate those that wear things that are meaningful to them, the hard work and effort it might have taken to acquire them, and the fact that you shouldn’t feel the need to apologize. Social media is full of opinion; know your own heart and intent and let the others worry about themselves.
