Betty got a new dress!! O-P VVS2

A couple of years ago, I bought a 2.24 ct O-P transitional diamond-Betty-to put into an antique setting. I loved and appreciated that ring, however, I think the setting didn’t allow for the diamond to shine as much as she could. Betty is a disco ball of light and color!! I also missed wearing my plain solitaire setting and had it lying around, so I took the plunge and put Betty into it. It is platinum and Betty is warm, but I just love this look. She sparkles wildly with life. She is also fairly yellow too. In fact, she changes so much that I never know what colors I will get, but she always takes my breath away. I am sharing her new dress and look and including lots of pics as she is such a chameleon.

Thanks @Mreader for asking about the setting and actually looking at the old post. One of the comments from the old post had actually been with me. I was thinking that maybe a nice sapphire or ruby would be nice. I actually have a 2.5 ruby that would fit perfectly in the setting’s 8.5 diameter. The ruby is currently in a pendant and I wear it frequently, so I didn’t have my jeweler switch it just yet. I wanted to get a feel for how I liked Betty in the modern setting. I will probably put the ruby in the antique setting and wear it on my right hand. I also have an antique band that I bought to wear with the antique setting. They match perfectly together but unfortunately I do not wear the band at all. I have gained some weight and it doesn’t fit as comfortable as I like but I don’t want to size the band as it has floral engraving on the back!

It would look stunning with a Ruby or sapphire; that setting really is something!! And Betty has such amazing faceting
