Best Website for Pre-loved diamonds

Hi All-

I've been a long time stalker from 10 years ago when I was first getting engaged. Now, we're celebrating our 10 year anniversary and hubby wants to upgrade me. woot woot. happy dance.

I want to get the most bang for my buck and would love to get a deal on a pre-loved diamond. Are there any good websites you guys know of? Looking for...2.3-2.9 carat round brilliant, excellent/ideal cut, f or g color, vs2-si1 eye clean. Help!!

First, look at Loupetroop.com and DiamondBistro.com. But you have to be careful who you buy from. Or you can request that the stone be sent to Neil Beaty or another known PS appraiser. There is another site called idobutnowIdon't or something like that.

Then vendors who sell second hand stones on consignment would be like Jewels by Grace, but she mostly sells old cuts.

Very hard to find bargains on the second hand market in that kind of size range. Prices are relatively low right now, so I'd shop the regular vendors, too.


These are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone.

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

Thanks!! I haven't had any luck on the secondhand sites so I'll be looking at James Allen and possibly some brick and mortar too. Do you think our budget of $20,000 is doable?

You'll have to drop down into the "I"s at James Allen to stay at $20k. You might also try enchanted diamonds.
