Best for Resale - 1 ct or 1.25 ct?

I''m thinking about upgrading my studs to a larger size to 2 - 2.5 tcw, so each stone would be 1 - 1.25 ct. What is the better size for maintaining value, a 1 ct stone or a 1.25 ct stone?

Today 1.25 carats are sought after....., tomorrow who knows....

I would not put an emphasis on the weight difference between 1.00 and 1.25...
i would suggest putting the emphasis on the quality of the diamond and the cut!

the minute you drive these babies off the lot you will get 1/4 of their value. better to buy from a vendor who has an upgrade policy.

I agree..."resale" is difficult at any size...trade up is possible!!
IF you buy from someone with such a policy................
