Hello Hughrock, found this setting doing a google image search for ''gents asscher ring''. It''s on the 1st page of results, if you want to see how it looked like before. Using corel and modifying the setting, here is the result. Although could''ve erased those side accent stones on the sides, I intentionally left them just to see the effect.

Thank you for taking the time to give that ring a different face. Pretty amazing look I would say.I wonder what that ring would look like if those small diamonds on the top sides were left in place but the diamonds up and down the corner length of the ring were deleted? I take my hat off to your computer skills.

Oh Gosh!
That's a 10 carat diamond, only $900,000.

ok, so here are the modifications Hughrock.

I like this. instead of the row of rounds would you consider a baguette on each side?

That is a great looking ring.Completely changes the ring from a look that was very busy to a masculine handsome elegant ring.Probably my second favorate design. I would buy that ring with an affordable stone of course.900K ? Wow

I would!

You guys have been nothing short of amazing! You basicly have help me decide on a ring design by steering me in the right direction.I was online earlier looking at stones and saw a few diamonds that caught my eye.

For the last few months I have kinda steered away from cushion stones because of their bold flashes.I am guilty of associating that type of brilliance with very flashy diamonds. But tonight I notice a different cut of cushion that I found very appealing. Modern faceted cushion diamond, I think its called. What do you all think of this type of cushion cut?

as long as the cushion is perfectly square-modern cushions tend to be more crushed ice and old style have fewer facets and were cut for candelight--more mellow IMO

I noticed a couple of the modern cushions did have that crushed ice look but there was about two with out the crushed ice which looked incredible.Lots of fire and sparkle but with out all the over the top bold flashes.Would you buy a modern faceted cushion that did not have the crushed ice appearence?

Absolutely I would. Each cushion is different. There are old style cushions that look like lumpy potatoes. The crushed ice look is visually distracting to me--I also dont care for most brilliant cut stone. So yes I would providing it had the right shape and "look." (eye of the beholder and all!)

Here is a bit of sparkle for the ladies who were kind enough to help me with my ring selection. About 125K.

Hugh,

If you make a new thread to explore your cushion search i will post my guide and link to you to videos of the different appearances of cushions. Alternatively search Pricescope for Chunkycushionlover''s Guide and you will see many video links.
The 4 main cushion brilliants have some similar elements of facet structure as radiants, and many of them have been cut with light perfromance in mind.
