Best Cushion dimensions?

Hello-
After lurking arount this site, I''ve recently become infatuated with cushion cut diamonds. Can somebody please tell me what to look for as far as the specifics to get a really nice looking cushion cut diamond? I know RBs are the best for overall sparkle, but are cushions pretty close behind?

The best thing may be to put yourself in the hands of an expert such as Mark at Engagement Rings Direct - he is affectionately known as ' the cushion guy' and for good reason. He has an incredible eye for a beautiful cushion. Numbers can't really tell you much about the performance of a cushion, or how it looks, so this thread may be useful for you to get a feel for the type of faceting patterns etc you like. A well cut cushion will be very sparkly, rounds have a different personality but a gorgeous cushion is fabulous in it's own right! I second Lorelei''s post. You need to see cushions in person and determine what YOU like best. There are no magic combos like there are with rounds that will guarantee you a great cut and gorgeous stone.

But Mark is really THE MAN. If you are serious about cushions, just call him, tell him what you like and your budget, and he''ll conjure up a few winners for you!
