Definitely a SUPER helpful board. My purchases have extended over the last couple months and I am targeting a September proposal.
At this point, I have a diamond that I obtained from Union Diamond (who despite not being a Pricescope sponsor is a great outfit - props to Darrell). On top of that, I had a Scott Kay setting that I decided to get, and had planned to purchase from Ben Bridge - a local B&M store. A bit of online research found the identical setting for $500 less, making this a no-brainer.
So - the question. Now that I have the setting and the diamond, what is my best bet for getting the diamond set and the ring sized? Any local jeweler? My only fear is that they''d get irritated about setting somebody else''s product, and also that it''s a palladium setting. Are the fears justified? Would a jewelry repair outfit be a better bet?
