Or something like this fits her description of a delicate web around the stones (with a different stone arrangement)
I really, really, REALLY hope they use something like this in the movie!!! Now that''s a ring I can appreciate!

not at all what I was picturing. I had in my head a long oval stone, set north south, with lines of diamonds coming out of each side down to the shank.
Guess I was off!
that one is kind of boring. The rock charm he gave her had more substance than that! However, he was supposed to be old fashioned so wanted her to have his mom''s ring, so it kind of makes sense.
Anyone else not understand her aversion to marriage in the books? She''s giving up her mortality to spend eternity with him, what''s the big deal about marraige? Seems like a small commitment compared to the vampire thing. Just wondering.

Awesome topic! I''ve always wondered what Bella''s ring looked like and those pics are definitely NOT what I imagined.

I imagined a 1.5-2 oval cut diamond with a halo. I think I''ll keep that mental picture instead

I wonder how many carats the heart-shaped diamond was? How about that for a charm bracelet!

ericad --- that is exactly what i was picturing, or at least something very similar!!

diamondsrock --- i thought her aversion was she didn''t think her mom would approve, bc she grew up with her mom telling her basically not to make the same mistake she did in marrying young. she doesn''t see the need to be married to him when she''s already committing herself to spend eternity with him, its pointless to her to get married too!

hmmm, I guess I can see that point. I just thought it was so heartbreaking for Edward. He really wanted to marry her and she just wasn''t interested and couldn''t wait to get the ring off her finger. I thought it was the saddest part of the book. I just couldn''t understand why she would care what anyone else would think (she didn''t seem to throughout the books) when it came to the marriage issue. If she loved him so much, I''d think she''d be honored to be his wife. Just didn''t get it I guess.

Oh yeah, i agree completely. They are beautiful and look much nicer and pretty accurate or more accurate than the ''egg nest'' ring

Her attitude about the marriage was the only part of the books I hated. I mean, come ON. Once her mom got past it, she should have lightened up. But nooo, she had to make it seem like the wedding was the most horrible thing to ever happen to her. Lame! Sure, have her be nervous and un-excited, but she totally took the joy out of it for everyone.

And that ring is hideous. I really hope the movie prop is better.

I would like to say thank you for all the posts, replies, views and comments, about Bella''s ring, I agree I thought it would be nicer...well...
But don''t forget the diamond heart 5k that Edward gave to Bella to use in her bracelet...I am still wondering why the Cullen''s wear something in the wristles....hmmm, could it be leather...

i gotta say, im surprised she picked this ring. with her imagination, having edwards skin alone looking like diamonds shimmering. you''d think she''d pick something much more...

too bad she [stephanie m] didnt do her homework. all i can say is she should''ve been a PS''er. she''d have ended up choosing something much MUCH more fabulous for edward to give bella

I don''t like that ring at all

Hello girls, I agree IF Renee ...Bella''s mom had a bad experience with Charlie it does not mean that she have the right to show off her disappointment about it to Bella, and make a tatoo of bad feelings about serious relationship, of course Edward is very romantic and Bella just practical?...I doubt it, for me she seems like in hippo smashing Edward''s dreams...aff.
When he propose to her, she says - Show me the damn ring Edward!...in response to his: - Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever - every single day of forever. Will you marry me?

Yesterday I found an artisan that do some jewelery ..

Thanks for looking

Hugs to all.
