I thought I was along in my obsession about jewelry--settings, cuts, stones, etc. Everyone's eyes would glaze over when I would try to explain my passion. And I sqee'd with pleasure whenI was in the Royal Jewelry forum and found Elizabeth I's ring which had a secret compartment that stored a minature of her mother. I've become obsessed about finding a duplicate.

...I thought a 3/4 carat was the perfect size for me

- I scoffed at the saying, 'diamonds are a girls best friend' (only to now realize it's quite true..)
- I didn't know what a hearts and arrow diamond was, I figured it was a brand name.
- I had no clue what cut and clarity meant.
- I didn't even know GIA and AGS certs existed.
- We almost bought our engagement ring from Overstock.com!
