Before and after - trinity ring with new shank

Well that was he quickest redo job I ever saw! Brought the ring in last Thursday and they had it ready today, Tuesday. I had asked here for advice on resetting or other transformation. Here is the original thread:

Some positive comments about the six-prong settings led me to consider keeping them as one option. Thanks for all the suggestions. I still like the earring idea but that is for the future with some diamonds to be named later.

After consulting with the jeweler (Kaufmann de Suisse), and based upon their suggestion, I decided that the best thing within my budget was to keep the stone settings but get the shank redone to size it larger and reinforce the strength for everyday wear.

The sides are built up more to secure the head and the band is a little thicker. Also, it was formerly 14k and is now 18k but the head is the same in 14k.
