Band width? 2CT Oval engagement ring pave band

HI!

We are hoping to get some advice on band width for our engagement ring..

We have a 2.01 Carat VVS1 Oval which we would like to set in yellow gold with a micro Pave band.

The photo below is the [Jean Dousset Chelsea] and that's the look we are hoping for, except it has pave on top of bands and sides, we want to do only the top in micro pave and leave sides plain gold.

Any help on what size band width we can do? We want to stay thin as possible but still have pave!

For pave we recommend no thinner than 2mm, which is still very thin. You're smart to only do the top row pave bc having pave on all three sides will make the ring less durable. We still recommend removing the ring when doing housework, yard work, etc.
