I got my gf engagment ring cleaned and polished as it's been a year now. I've noticed that at the top of band below setting there are alot of polish marks as if it's been put on a polishing wheel and just stopped it and not done a finer detail with a smaller polishing tool. Is this normal or would you ask for it to be corrected? 20181215_101915.jpg

That would need correction for me.

Proper poishing would involve a finer and finer compound, then finished with a buffing rouge. That could be a spot the didn't get smoothed before being buffed, or it could be residual compound.

Either way, they should be able to smooth that out pretty easily.

Definitely take it back - it should shine like the top of the Chrysler building with no marks
