Ballpark price for a Mark T./ ERD Custom?

Could anyone give me an idea of what it might cost to get a Mark T. custom ring from ERD? I understand that it is custom work, and therefore will vary based on your specifications, but I love MMM''s and Fatguy''s rings (basic concept) natuarally I would tweak a few things to suit my personal needs/ taste...I will likely have a 2 carat cushion as the center stone. I am still in the VERY early stages of inquring but thought you all may be able to lead me in the right direction...

Also, does he provide you with any kind of discount if you purchase the center stone from him? Thanks!!

just email mark for a quote. with the prices of metals changing like they are, someone''s price 2 weeks ago could no longer be accurate. we''d all just be guessing and that wouldn''t really do you much good.

Thanks, I did email him actually a few days ago and hadn''t heard back, so I was a bit anxious Just wanted to see if I could get an idea 5k or 10K, etc...I can''t imagine they would be off by even more than 1k? Just wanted to see if this was even something I would want to pursue in my budget. I will try to be more patient...

If you haven''t heard back yet you might want to pick up the phone and call in. It''s a busy time of year and emails get lost.

I believe Mark has the flu... I spoke with him the other day but I think he''s shortened his hours til he feels better. Certainly call him - he''s more of a phone guy than an e-mail guy anyway

Mark had a deal awhile back where you''d get 2% off your center stone when you got a custom setting made but I''m not sure that deal''s still avail? You could ask him...

I asked him for a quote about six months ago (so i''m not sure how relevant it still is) for a platinum setting, micropave (no halo tho) & it was around $2500 I believe (it might''ve been $2k, i''m a bit fuzzy on it). They do really nice work IMHO.

i e-mail him at r i n g s d i r e c t (at) a o l . c o m (without the spaces - just trying to save him from spam). you dont get a read confirmation with that e-mail. Mark really is more of a phone guy anyway (i think) - why dont you call him? he has vm if he''s still out with the flu... he''s great to work with - he does get v busy at times tho.

As of about a year ago when we were looking for my ring, his custom micropave with halo rings started at about $3000. So I Imagine it would only go up from there...

Its totally not like Mark to not answer emails quickly....I am thinking there is a delay because he is sick.

I think that Neatfreak is correct in terms of his pricing....

Sunnyd- I am in the same boat as you, not in the market for another year, but thought I would do some prelim'' work. I too emailed him through his website and noticed no confirmation either... I will let everyone know if I hear and what I hear...thanks again!! He does beautiful work and hope that I get he opportunity to work with him. I wonder how much of a difference working with him vs. Leon in regards to price? Hmmm...

Yup for my .81 and the price of platinum has only gone up since then too...
