I recently picked up what I thought was an absolute bargain Emerald ring with 2 small diamond accents, when the ring arrived all I was interested in was the condition/quality of the emerald to be honest and I paid little attention to the rest of the ring for a day or so. Its my mums birthstone so im always looking for nice pieces as gifts ( good son :saint: ) Yesterday I picked up the ring for a proper overall examination and much to my surprise 1 of the side diamonds is a fancy pink colour, I then checked the other diamond and although it isn't the same pink as the 1st it does have a HINT of pink but faces up on the hand as pretty much white. The stones are no bigger than 5 points each and have a different tone but still a nice surprise  The ring is 18ct white gold ( not plated white ) the emerald is 6.5mm x 3.5mm and looks as deep as it is wide ( if not deeper ) and is pretty clean for an emerald. it is also very heavy ( 7g ) Here are a couple pictures of it, when you focus on the side stones you can see that 1 of them is of a darker tone to the other. I couldn't get a very good shot up close that fully shows the pink tone, too small unfortunately. Still shocked that the seller didn't mention the colour of the diamonds .

Nice!

Nice surprise and really pretty ring!

Hi DS,ACINOM,APRIL,TEK,CK, My mother turned it down as a gift !!! I wasn't offended by the way, apparently white gold and platinum are off the list. She wasn't swayed by the little pinks either, its white gold and that's that. Looks like I will have to send it off for an appraisal now and then figure out what to do with it. The only thing that bothers me with it is the metalwork holding the emerald in place, its wonky and looks poorly done compared with the rest of the ring. I suppose the little pinks compensate for that. Even after an appraisal fee and clean up I will have got myself an absolute bargain, I dread to think what the original price was !!!

It's very pretty.

Congratulations! What a find!

Hi Marcy,Preg glad you like it, shame my mum didn't :snooty: The ring is fully hallmarked and you might be surprised to know ( I was ) it was made in 1998 which makes it 16yrs old, it looks far more modern than that to me. Well its currently on its way for an appraisal so in a couple of weeks time I will know a bit more and I will post the results.
