I'm the new owner of the world's most minuscule diamond eternity band. It's rose cut diamonds in milgrained platinum, actually a shrink to scale version of my wedding band. I won it on ebay. I was planning on giving it to my niece for her 3rd birthday but seeing how tiny it is I think it may already be to small for her. Anyway, isn't it precious?

This should give you a sense of scale, my e-ring is size 4 3/8 and the diamond is 8.5mm

It's so cute! I love the pics of it sitting on top of your big rock.
And btw, your setting is gorgeous! I love the leaf/floral motif!

Thank you, Chloe!

That is the sweetest little ring! What an adorable idea for your niece. I really hope it's not too small! Hand shots would be so cute!

ok that is TOO cute! too bad you can't wear it...maybe as a necklace, or you could give it to your niece. Adorable!

do you know what size it is?

Thanks Baby Nurse and SLG! I have it on a necklace in the second pic, which is my backup plan. I also have a niece who is only 15 months it might fit but there are no occasions coming up and the middle niece loves bling so I hope it fits. Her mom got a peridot necklace for her birthday, and the little one said to her mommy, "You give it to me for my birthday!". The size is so small it's not on a mandrel, under 3. Based on it making a good "halo" for my 8.5mm stone I figured it was 9 or 10mm which is something like 0000 on the ring size calculator.

Also plan C:

I raise chickens, fancy fancy chickens. I leg band them. Would it be crazy to use it as a leg band on a favorite lady chicken??? It would have to be done on one before she was full grown.

It's absolutely adorable!

This is just my thinking, but honestly if you believe it may already be too small for her, I'd stash it away for your future first-born daughter.

ummm..how would you get it off the chook :errrr:

Very sweet, both the ring and the idea to give it to a niece (pls don't give it to a chicken!).
I also like the idea of holding into it for a future child or grand child (if you plan any, of course).

Oh it is simply precious! so cute, and rose cut diamonds are so hard to come by! what a great deal!

Would any 3-year-old be wise enough to take proper care of a diamond ring? Much less a chicken?

Sorry, I don't think these are great ideas. Keep it on a necklace, for yourself or your niece when she is older or whomever. JMO.

OMG I love it! It's so wee! I love the rose cut diamonds - just lovely.

It's beautiful! Would it fit ou your pinky toe?

Your setting is stunning and that tiny ring is gorgeous! Surely she could wear it on her pinkie if it's too small for her ring finger? I actually think it might fit her. I took my calipers and measured my daughter's finger (she turned 4 yesterday) and it measures 9mm (and that was a bit loose because I didn't want to make it too tight. Hopefully, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Please post pics if she's able to wear it...hand shots of you and her wearing your rings...it would be adorable!

Would it work as a toe ring???

Oh my, how precious

love the idea of putting it on a chain for her

I'm with wedge on this one, LOL

I'd totally put it on a necklace ;)

Don't you wonder who this was made for and why/what occasion?

Thank you Yennyfire! Happy birthday to your little girl! That's very helpful.

I'm not completely confident she won't lose it but it was not very expensive considering it's diamond and platinum and handmade ($130) and if she doesn't lose it I think it's something she might grow up to treasure. I may also get a little silk cord for her. I bet it was originally a baptism gift.

ETA- there's no fitting this on my pudgy toes!

What a find! It's absolutely beautiful!

I would probably put it on a necklace so she would be less likely to lose it. Then, when she's older, she would still have it to treasure and could put it on a really nice platinum chain.

That is a one tiny ring. Great find.

The ring is very sweet, but step away from the chicken, kelpie :cheeky:

It's gorgeous!!!!!

Update:

I tried this on my soon to be 3 year old niece and would you believe it wouldn't even fit past the nail on her pinky! It's seriously for an infant, like to wear to a baptism. I's be afraid an infant would suck it right off their hand. I've been wearing it on a necklace though.

Oh my goodness! Wow I'm very surprised it wouldn't fit on your niece... from the pictures I thought it looked like it could fit my left pinky finger (size 1...yes, I am serious. lol). Too bad! Do you mind sharing the name of the eBay seller?

OMG! What a cute, precious little thing! I believe too that it must have been a baptism gift, because i was baptised when i was eight months old and my godmother gave me (among other pieces of jewellry 8) ) such a tiny ring, only mine is made of 18ct yellow gold, it has a little heart shape on the upper part and in the middle of it a tiny ruby ::)
Your ring will look amazing being worn as a pendant  I love it!!!

Is it intended as a toe ring? SO CUTE!

But, isn't a ring a dangerous thing for a 3 year old to wear? (choking hazard?)

It's adorable. Another vote for putting it on a chain, either for you or child.

Every three year old I know would lose the ring if put on her finger!

What size is the ring? My pinky is a size 1 .. so send it my way if it fits!

It sure looks better than my Iron Ring (worn by engineers).
