So I am probably going to bite the bullet and get some finally, however...I am debating the sizing right now.

The price for the .30ctw is $80 more than the price for the .25ctw. Is that worth paying more for, even the small amount since I don't expect there to be a significant visual difference between the two sizes? I feel like this should be obvious, get the larger, but if it's not a huge enough difference to warrant even the slight price difference, I dunno if it's worth it.

I am going from .33ctw martini settings, to a BGD platinum bezel, if that helps.

What say you?

I think the price difference is so slight just get a bit bigger.

+1 (assuming we are talking about your main ear hole! I'd go smaller if they were for a second hole. And I'd go larger than .30 ctw, really for the first hole...like .25-.30 for each ear.)

Agree. $80 isn't bad.

Hah! You were gonna cave sooner or later!

The sizing... Do you want "bezel studs"? Or do you specifically want "baby bezels"? 'Cause for me with baby bezels... I play the opposite game - how small can you go? My idea of perfect baby bezels are teeny tiny specs of glitter on each ear ::)

If you just want "bezels", not so much with the "baby" part, the bigger ones, definitely!

For me... personally... .25ctw is too small. I have a pair of .25's that I bought in anticipation of my niece getting her ears pierced (which she hasn't yet - *sigh*) and I wore them once and I haven't even been tempted to take them out again - they're just too small. I'm thinking .20 in each ear might be about right for me, for the baby bezel look I'm going for.

BTW the look I'd be going for is small and everyday casual but not the mere glint on the earlobe small.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. That sparkle in the middle of a bezel will be pretty either way. I guess I would spend the extra 80 because I don't think you would ever regret it, but if you get the slightly smaller you may on occasion second guess yourself. Just my opinion based on how I think about things myself!

It would be for my first hole, I haven't worn anything in my other holes for a long time, to the point where I don't know if I'd get anything in them anymore!

I guess my goal is that they are subtle and not ridiculous, because I don't like large studs (my max size per ear would probably be .25 ea or so I think...) but still enough to be there and be sparkling up a storm. I guess I don't know in my head if going up .03ish points per stone is enough of a visual difference to matter or not but when the bezel is added that is going to be a visual difference compared to the .125ish stones I had in a martini setting.

What is the difference in mm size between the two? The human eye, according to Google, can see sizes down to 0.1mm. If the difference between the two is larger than that, then I'd say go for the bigger one, otherwise, save your $80.

~.2mm So like 3.2mm vs 3.4mm

My vote's for the bigger one then.

I read somewhere on here that the finished diameter including bezel (maybe in Jax's thread?) of the .25ctw was 4.1, so I assume 4.5ish for the .30s. I'll think on this more. I want them there but not obvious.

Is there an option to purchase both and see which ones you prefer more?

Im sure there is but I'd rather not.

Personally, I'd get the larger ones, but based on your posts and because this is about what you'd prefer and knowing you don't wear your earrings very much, the ones that are $80 less would probably make more sense.

Also, it depends upon the size of your earlobes and what you feel comfortable wearing. For, me, earrings up to .40ish per lobe are perfect, but those would be too large for some and too small for others. It's really about what you would like! What would you feel most comfortable in?

I think the largest martini stud I'd ever wear is a .33 or .25 per ear. If that gives an idea for size.

I might need to make little paper cutouts around these sizes and stick them on and see what I think on my head. lol. That should be a visual.

Knowing from a couple recent posts you made about not wearing earrings very often & hardly wearing your rings, I'd buy the ones that cost less. Everyone has their own preference & for something like this, you need to figure out what YOU would wear, not what other people on PS would wear. (My eng diamond is considered unacceptably small on PS, but it's perfect for me... I'd not wear a 2 ct, but if I did a poll, surely everyone would recommend one :cheeky: )

So I finally have my refund, went tonight and deposited it, funds will be "released" (my cu puts holds on almost any deposit like this to confirm it's not fake) next week. Criminy.
