for some reasons it took like 20 seconds to load a PS page on my old computer :knockout: so now this computer dummy must learn how to use windows 7 and IE 9  i hate to learn to use a new computer b/c i am a computer dummy. ;(

I feel your pain. I really dislike learning new computers/programs/systems. Hang it there, it will be second nature soon.

Yea I am right there with you, my laptop is getting old and its getting time to think about a new one....I dont want to do it :errrr:

You needed a new one...quit complaining! :cheeky:

Is your internet speed and modem up to par? Those can slow you down more than the computer (provided the computer is fairly clean)

I would also replace IE9 with Google chrome. Firefox used to be great but has too many bugs now to run smoothly.

Forget IE9 and get Firefox.

DITTO. Firefox 5 is total a disaster.

Windows7 is awesome! WAY better than Vista

I just went through this DF. I'm old too and I love Windows 7! It was easy to figure out. If I can do it, you can do it!

A new computer has to be cheaper than than the bling PS encourages me to buy!

Tell about bugs w/Firefox. Pages have been loading really slowly lately on my computer & I've been blaming Time-Warner cable (HATE them!!!!!) -- maybe it's the fault of Firefox?

I am older than you and I learn new tech all the time :Up_to_something:

DF download Firefox instead of using IE. It's in my opinion and experience far safer on a PC.

Laurie Firefox 5 freezing & crashing is apparently a common problem - pretty much everyone I work with has switched to Chrome at this point for everything but actual development. Can't roll back to Firefox 4 b/c of security issues, so your options I think are v3 or v5 - or something else entirely

ETA Just saw Firefox 6 is out! I'm downloading it now.

I go between Safari and Firefox, but I am almost always on a mac.

We are glad this solved the problem. This would explain why I did not see the issue as I was still using v3 when testing for you. I also recommend Chrome. :))
