3 prong Whiteflash Martini setting 18ktWG
1.54 H VS1
I am thinking I am going to reset it in a 4 prong basket
the stone tends to drop forward and doesn''t stand at attention like it should!

I''ll add a couple more, but I cannot get a decent shot.

It''s really lovely. Maybe they can alter it so it won''t flip, I sure like the style though. Neckshots please.

So you are going for the basket?
probably. When the stone hangs down, you don''t see it full face, does that make sense?
It is just too pretty for that, so I''ll see what they can do. I love the setting, but maybe for a smaller stone?
Any ideas?

Maybe a bezel? I''m not sure, from what you said probably doing a basket will show off the stone more. Yes, I agree, much too pretty not to show off all the sparkles.

It''s gorgeous, but agree that a basket setting will allow it to show more. Or even a bezel setting, but my vote goes to a basket 4 prong setting.

no bezel. I had one with a bezel before, so I''m tired of that look. for me anyway.
whatever I end up with, I want that floating stone look. I''m not sure about the chain either.
I want a 15" chain, short, to wear close to the hollowed dimple in your throat. But not too short to
be a choke hold!

What about a tiny wheat chain? I have seen several of them lately and have come to like the look a lot.

Ann,

It''s gorgeous - and I agree it''s much too pretty to have the head bow down. Could the jeweler place a small, flat bead on the bottom (back) so it would counteract the top tipping forward? Not sure if they could make that comfortable to wear, though. Just thinking out loud.

Dee Jay, I''ll have to check that out. I want delicate, but not cheap looking. Ha, is there such a thing?

Rock Candy, Hhmmm, don''t know about that, I had my doubts about the setting,
but wanted to give it a try. I know WF will do whatever I want. I''m going to to
try and get in there next week.

thanks guys, I looked it up and a baby wheat is pretty.
I will talk to WF about it. One thing I don''t want on this
is big ''ol rabbit ears for loops to hold the chain!

i think the BW is also one of the more durable chains, too.

Maybe they can counter weight it? It is STUNNING. Looks a lot bigger than that...wow, so nice!

Gorgeous stone, Ann!

Wow! Have you considered 4 prongs with a bail? That way you could use different chains depending on your mood or clothes!

Wow, gorgeous!! I love the size of this pendant, it''s just perfect for a neckline. I really love the simple design. If you change it to a four prong that would be fine too, but maybe to keep the same look set it with the prongs N/S/E/W instead of NE/SE/etc.

My 1.5 is in a basket, with a single bail (I, too, hate those rabbit ears!) on top. I love how mine sits on the neck. I had it put on a 16" tiny wheat like chain. I''m thinking I want it at 15" now, but definitely like the 16". I like the basket look. Oh and the neck shots--just plan on taking many of them aimed at your neck--then crop down to what you want--it was hit or miss for me, lol.

It is just beautiful Ann! So classic and elegant and a terrific size. I hope that you can resolve the setting issue. Let us know what you decide.

What a lovely stone. Can''t wait till you get the setting settled. Then you owe us more photos and the specs.
