Hi all, I found PriceScope while designing my ring over the past few months and found the knowledge in this community so helpful—I'm so excited to finally have my ring on-hand!
I started my search torn between an oval or emerald cut, and discovered antique elongated cushions which seemed like the perfect combination of the two. The only problem was that I personally disliked the look of a visible culet, no matter how small it was, which set me off on a long search with many jewelers to try and source a stone I was happy with. I learned about Distinctive Gem on here, and their August Vintage Elongated Cushion fit what I was looking for exactly. I was nervous about sourcing a diamond myself and buying it online, but all of your many great reviews of Jonathan's diamonds convinced me. Sarah was so helpful, and sent me multiple videos of each of the diamonds I was interested in to help pick the right one for me.
I also learned about hand fabrication here, which ultimately led me to Maytal Hannah! She was willing to work with outside stones so I purchased my AVEC from DG and dropped off the stone to Maytal for setting. She was extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process, patiently answering my many, many questions no matter how minute the detail. As a perfectionist, I was nervous about creating a ring without a CAD, but she executed my vision perfectly and I couldn't be happier with how my ring turned out!
