As some of you know, I am looking to start a five-stone project for my wife. I love H&A Rounds but am also drawn to AVC's.

How does an AVC face-up compared to a round stone?

Two stones I am looking at:

AVC .31ct 4.0 x 3.9mm
Round .308ct 4.37 x 4.4 x 2.66mm

How noticeable will the size difference between the two be? I love the AVC's but don't want to give up too much in terms of size.

Thoughts?....

Have you considered the AVR's?

Are the 2 stones you listed both GOG stones? Ask them if they can take a picture for you side by side - that way you'll be able to see if the difference is noticeable to you.

No, the round is from BGD. I have considered AVR's, I just have not found one I like within my budget. I would like to stay at under $550 per stone.

Well proprietary patented cuts like the AVR and AVC will cost you more per carat. If bling for the budget is the objective then you can't go wrong with ideal cut rounds. Will all the stones be the same size or will it be a tapered band?

They will all be the same size, in preferably a platinum trellis style band (like from Whiteflash or BGD).
