HI folks:

I know a few people here have bought T & C on the secondary market and had the rings (successfully) authenticated. Anyone tried to do this with Cartier; if so, what was your experience?? The closest store to me would be in Vancouver and I likely would have to send it there....I suppose I could email them.....

Thanks.

cheers--Sharon

I have no clue, but I'd love to see a pic. :naughty:

Didn't know they had a Cartier in Vancouver (I'm in Victoria) I'll have to hop over and pay them a visit sometime. I would phone the store first and see what they say.

Yes, any pics to see please.

HI:

There is indeed a store in Vancouver....

And yes, i'd love to share pics except for the whole someone else might snap it up phenomena that happens a lot here.... :twirl:

I tried on a .30 point stone today and I think with my size of hand I do want a slightly bigger stone to wear to work. I am still thinking I want D IF and now branded to boot; you'd be surprised how few D IF around at Tiffany's and Cartier in the size I am interested. I am leaning toward Cartier....

cheers--Sharon

I know what you mean about posting pics for fear that it is bought out from under you. Such a shame we can't post pics freely. No, I'm not surprised you are unable to find a D IF in a smaller size (or larger for that matter) in the stores you mention. I would think there's not a huge market for them and that's why unfortunately.

Sharon,
Did you ever figure this out? I am interested in knowing, the other options I was recommended was posting on another forum (usually discusses purses) ;)

Are Cartier diamonds GIA certified? Would you be able to check the laser inscription of the diamond to match the certificate?

-I'm not sure about this... never bought a T/C or Cartier ring before
