Hey all,
I recently received a fantastic AVC from good old gold but I am having a dilemma picking out a setting color. I want do a James Meyer style ring (with the bezel and milgrain), but I cant decide on colors. My stone is a 2.11ct. O color AVC. I love the color when it is subtle/warm, but I am also not trying to play it up (since its not a fancy colored stone). I know that I want the ring shank in either rose or yellow gold, but I cant decide if I want the bezel (or even just the top of the bezel/milgrain) a different color. Will a RG/YG bezel and/or milgrain play up the color of the stone or contrast it and make it look relatively more colorless? I have included some pics of my stone as well as some examples of the settings I like and the contrasting shank/milgrain coloring. Please let me know what you think!
P.S. Thanks to all the PSers with the amazing pics for inspiration!
