Peridot is my birthstone and it is a lovely gem.

Here is an antique peridot pin given to me by my parents dear friend an antique dealer. He died many decades ago and this was his parting gift to me.

I think spinel has fairly recently been added for August too?

I would love a beautiful sardonyx pendant as August is my youngest’s birthday. There’s a picture on the GIA website that has ruined every sardonyx piece for me though as it’s incomparable (to my eyes) - this one here is my dream!
