It appears in an article covering the plans for autumn 2001 auctions by Sotheby''s and Christie''s. For Sotheby''s New York it says: "One of the other top lots is a pinkish-orange diamond ring estimated at $800,000 to $1 million.". Doesen''t say how big it is, but we can imagine.

It is quite lucky, his office is about a 3 minute drive from my parents house! Always a fun trip! He just has so many beautiful stones...

I was just telling a jeweler today that what I would most like is a padparadscha diamond.

That is amazing.

I wonder if I could eventually find a padparadscha diamond in a smaller size that I could buy and wear.

I wonder if my husband could ever be excited about one, when the same money would buy a larger ideal cut colorless diamond.

I'm not sure about the yellow sides, but the centre stone gets pretty close (not close to the Sotheby's one; I mean close to an affordable pad-colour diamond).
