Athenaworth's sleepy mahenge

During her quest for the mahenge that makes her swoon, she rehomed the sleepy stone. I have adopted it and wanted to share a picture of it in the bright sun. This beauty has the most intense fluorescense. I'm in love!! Now I have mahenge sisters!!

Here's a picture of the mounting I've decided on. It is from denimanddiamondsjewelry.com. I will be wearing it on the middle finger of my right hand. Just what I pictured for this stone!

She only works in silver and 14k yellow gold. I enquired about 18k. I hope she can do that! I would love the rich yellow next to that glowy pink-orange-lavender.

What does the asterisk stand for?

This is on a lot of Multicolour's identification reports. I think it's just a separator between letters and numbers because it doesn't appear to link to anything in particular and it's not isolated to a particular gem.

If you don't mind my asking, what is the size of your spinel? And, do you have any concerns that the color will hold up in a bezel setting? I'm trying to convince myself into buying one (if I can find one) and wondering how I would set it!!! Yours is beautiful, I love the combo color + shape!

It is 2.02 carats and measures right about 8x6mm. Same size as the stone showed in the mounting.
