It's here!! I ordered this Whitehouse Brothers mounting for my emerald cut nearly 5 weeks ago and, much to my surprise, it arrived yesterday! I haven't been obsessing about it too much because my wedding next month is keeping my mind plenty occupied. But I did ask my jeweler if she might be able to have it set the same day, and happily, she could accomodate my request. The best news is I absolutely love it!! I've had this diamond for over a year. This is the 4th mounting I've tried for this diamond. My first attempt was a custom job that had to be redone. The remake was better, but it was never quite right. I ended up pulling my diamond and replacing it with an aquamarine. In frustration, I put the stone in a very simple setting going east to west. That didn't look right because my stone is too long. Then I tried another mounting, a simple antique style mounting with round mellee -- very pretty design, but absolutely terrible workmanship. Fortunately, I could return that one. I was beginning to think that either I was totally crazy (still a possibility) or my stone was cursed. I thought I would give it one more try before completely giving up. So, here it is. This is the setting in which this stone was meant to live out the rest of its days.
