Im new to the forum and calling on the professionals and asscher owners for their input. I have been researching all the diamond confusion for the past couple months and will be purchasing a 1.5 - 2.0 carat asscher stone (square emerald cut not royal asscher) within the next couple weeks. I love the asscher look.
I am down to trying to make a decision on the color and clarity of the stone I purchase to get the best diamond quality and size for the price. I have already decided that I want a stone with EXCELLENT polish and EXCELLENT symmetry. I am between several stones that range from I - G and would like your opinions if your an asscher owner or professional. Im looking for a stone that does not show a yellow tint and appears white to the naked untrained eye without the cloudy look.
When it comes to the clarity, all of the potential stones im looking at are said to be eye clean (Blue Nile Signature Collection). In this area im looking between SI - VS. Based on my readings from the forum, a VVS stone is often not worth the money.
Also is the culet an important factor with asscher stones?
I appreciate everyones input and pictures from existing asscher owners if available. Thank you everyone.
