Hi all,
I have been using this site for ideas for a while now, so thank you all for your inspiration! Thank you especially to all those who have shared your knowledge about asscher diamonds. My fiance proposed a month ago with this stunning loose diamond:
1.52 carat square emerald
G
S|1 (eye clean to me!)
Polish: excellent
Symmetry: very good
Table: 64%
Depth: 68.6%
Girdle: very thick
Cutlet: none
6.23 x 6.10mm
I then spent a long time thinking about setting and changing my mind a thousand times. I ended up going with a 4 prong solitaire in platinum with milgrain edges, the band is 2.7mm wide. Ring size 'L' or 5.75.
I am completely in love with the ring, it turned out more perfect than I could have imagined!
So far I have only been able to get some not so great photos on my iPhone, which does no justice to the beautiful step cuts. So I can try and get some better ones on the weekend if you want them I hope that this gives back a little for everything I have learnt on PS!!
